Titanium alloy Ti-6Al-2Sn-4Zr-2Mo-0.08Si (Ti6242) is a near-alpha alloy and combines high mechanical strength, weldability, high temperature stability and creep resistance up to temperatures of 550°C (versus approximately 400 °C for Ti-6Al-4V).Ti-6242 is used to manufacture lightweight production parts where high temperature stability is critical.
